Quote of Friday

Today is day we listen out enlightened people. And I chose a quote from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe again. He clearly lists "simple" things to do in a day and the most important one is in the end. Here is the sentence:

"Every day we should hear at least one little song, read one good poem, see one exquisite picture, an, if possible, speak a few sensible words."   Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Actually we all listen songs, and read poems if come across and see pictures or photographs that are brilliantly created but how many people can claim that he or she hears a few sensible words each day? The last advice is the one that makes his recommendation nearly impossible. Our heads get full with useless crowd of words that I cannot identify most of them as ideas. But when somebody comes out and says logical things, original ideas or something to make you smile it is like a miracle! Suddenly there appears a halo on them and a funny smile on your face :)) Not a miracle?? It's not the works that require physical energy that leave you exhausted it is the incoherence and shallowness of what is said, what is heard. Sometimes I feel I carry a heavy bucket on my shoulders because of them.
